What Does STEM Stand For?

The difference between STEM and your basic math or science is that STEM looks to educate students on how STEM can be applied and implemented in everyday life, while also working to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills using real-world applications.

What is the STEM Montessori Academy of Canada/STEM International Academy of Canada (SMAC-SIAC)?

SMAC-SIAC is a regional STEM program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application.

Our STEM program is the first of its kind in Canada and seeks to educate students from preschool to grade 12 (2.5 to 18 years of age). SMAC-SIAC specializes in an advanced, bar-none, STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.
